Dear compatriots and companions! See our countrymen in Kunduz and Kandahar.
The brutal attack on Khan Abad Mosque in Kunduz two weeks ago and the bloody attack on Fatimia Mosque in Kandahar, which is continuing organized and targeted killings on a certain group of people, has again laced the clean soil of the country with the blood of the children of the country The pictures and videos that were released from the site of these two incidents are so heartbreaking and shocking that many of these pictures can’t be used.
Our land is the victim of a long war, but the pain that burns lives and souls beyond all other pains, is that the main victims of these attacks are innocent and helpless citizens who are stuck in the midst of fire and blood and their only wish for peace. And it’s peace and friendship. People who are victims of the brutal game of terrorist groups in performing the blood and death of the enemies of this land.
Australia’s Babe Mazari Foundation team on their turn, condemning such terrorist attacks, martyred and wounded innocent men, women and children of the two provinces of Kunduz and Kandahar to all the countrymen and especially the families whose loved ones in this war. Ignorant people lost their condolences and wishes health for the wounded of this tragedy.
Also, after discussions with our compatriots and colleagues in Kunduz, Kandahar and Australia, the Babe Mazari Foundation team has launched a campaign to help the families of martyrs and wounded of these two disasters. We invite all our compatriots to join this campaign personally or through the popular associations and join us with your help to fulfill our human responsibility to the victims of these attacks.
Here at BMF, we are extremely saddened at the shocking news of continuous attacks on the Hazara Shias in Afghanistan.
Last Friday it was Kunduz and this Friday Kandahar Shia mosque came under attack. Hundreds of people lost their lives and hundreds are injured.

A Windmill Theatre Company production
Chloe and Hassan are sent out of class under suspicion for stealing money while feeding the class axolotl. As the unlikely pair work out who’s responsible, Chloe hears the heartbreaking story of an Afghan boy who has travelled alone, across land and sea, for a better life.
Based on the real-life testimonies of refugees, Amphibian sees past, present and dreams collide in an epic story of displacement, loss and adapting to different worlds.
Poignant, powerful and bubbling with humour, Amphibian is sparkling teen drama that brings one of the most urgent issues of our time roaring onto the stage.
AFGHANISTAN FUNDRAISER PERFORMANCE
In support of the people of Afghanistan, Windmill is donating the box office income of the 7.30pm performance of Amphibian on Saturday 25 September to the Baba Mazari Foundation

3600 trees planted with help from Baba Mazari Foundation volunteers across Land for Wildlife properties in Kangaroo Island on 14th and 15th of August 2021.
After the devastating bush fire in 2019/2020, BMF managed a fundraising campaign among the Hazara community in Australia for the bush fire appeal and donated a sum of around $87,000 AUD to the state government. In continuation of that campaign, BMF in collaboration with the Land for Wildlife and KI Council sent a group of 14 volunteers on a two-day journey to plant trees in two sites in Kangaroo Island. The group was planning to plant nearly 4000 trees in two days and help restore the natural life of the Island.
The volunteers were Australian-Hazara residents of South Australia aiming to contribute to rebuilding the wildlife in their state of residency.
For BMF, planting trees native to this Island is of paramount importance and value. For our volunteers, tree plantation in fire affected areas of Kangaroo Island is not only an exercise in re-vegetation, but rejuvenating the nature and providing essential food source to the wildlife such as the glassy cockatoos.
KI LfW’s Vanessa Messmer said, “This revegetation project will improve habitat for threatened species like the KI dunnart and the Bassian thrush as well as extend refuge corridors.” She also said “It was an absolute honour to work with BMF over the weekend, their enthusiasm and positivity was an inspiration. We are very thankful for all their help and hard work.”
We will post more details about this project on our website. Stayed tuned for updates.
